Modernize Your Legacy Applications. Create Applications that Drive Business Advantage.
Now more than ever, enterprise IT departments feel the pressure to help their businesses increase productivity and grow through innovation. But legacy systems full of bloated application portfolios that are overly complex and often obsolete are weighing them down. Too much time and too many IT staff resources are spent just to maintain these legacy systems, leaving very few resources for new development. Compounding the problem is the fact that finding trained developers who support decades-old languages will get more and more challenging as Baby Boomer developers begin to retire.
As a result, enterprises are under pressure to implement modernization strategies that will enable their legacy systems to take advantage of new paradigms like cloud computing, big data and DevOps. While the effort to modernize is challenging, it is essential. And the benefits of a well-implemented modernization strategy are well worth it. They include:
- Increasing Business and IT agility, efficiency and productivity
- Enabling IT staff to focus on strategic business initiatives vs. maintenance
- Implementing new business capabilities in weeks or months, not years
- Reducing maintenance and operating costs
- Improving performance of customer-facing applications
MomentumSI’s Software Development practice offers:

Our Expert Approach to Projects
We provide full software lifecycle development support, from planning, design and architecture, through to development, testing and deployment. All of our architects and developers are high-quality experts in the specific architectural requirements of modern environments that are modeled on the concept of reusable services.
We take a highly collaborative approach to our modernization and custom application development projects. We offer two models for client engagements – onsite at your offices or remote via MomentumSI’s Austin Integration and Development Center (AIDC), a secure facility co-located with our company headquarters.
In either model, we assign an architect who serves onsite at your offices as the project coordinator and as the technical leader of our development team. The rest of the development team will also work at your offices if you choose our onsite engagement model. However, if you choose our remote engagement model, the development and integration efforts for your projects are performed offsite at our AIDC.
Regardless of the model you choose, we ensure that you have visibility to your projects through a structured set of project management and development infrastructure tools (version control, automated builds and testing, requirements management, etc.). Your visibility to these tools is made through a secure network connection, allowing stakeholders to check status of the work at any time.
